*tw rape* Bauhaus Haus and recent rape allegations (and how they're true)

RAPE TW
the title links to a Bauhaus page for an upcoming show (perhaps soon to be cancelled?) where people have started posting about the allegations against Jack Miller and how it is not okay to rape or dismiss rape.
“There have been several accusations from several different people that Jack Miller, the more-or-less “head” of booking and resident at the Bauhaus Haus, is allegedly a SERIAL rapist. According to someone closely involved to the situation, he has possibly sexually assaulted and/or raped as many as 5 females at shows (there are possibly even more unreported incidents) at the Bauhaus Haus; these mostly occurring during or after shows. One of the victims has come forward to the police and the RPD have since become involved with Jack and the Bauhaus Haus. It should be noted that he has laughed off and dismissed accusations, and that he also shames and intimidates people that talk about the situation.”
but also on that page (and in real life), people are defending Jack and asking to see the proof of these accusations. so let’s take a second to realize what these people are doing wrong first off.
this is not the boy who cried wolf. this is not a bedtime story told to your children to get them to stop lying. if someone claims they were raped… well, it probably happened. no one has anything to gain from coming forward as a rape victim. in fact, it’s kind of an embarrassing thing to admit to. coming out about it make the victim feel stupid and just plain pathetic, and that’s not how things should work. the victim shouldn’t be the one feeling bad about opening up about this. so before you turn this situation to be about the “liars” and so “so-called victims” just take a second to think about that. you are invalidating someone’s experiences, and that is a disgusting thing to do.
but most importantly back to Jack Miller- he has taken advantage of people multiple times. this is not some plot concocted by anyone to get back at him (are we really that immature to believe that?); it has really happened.
I have first-hand experience with this with Jack Miller, and I know this post will end up getting back to him somehow so I really am not comfortable sharing my experiences here. I know this maybe lessens the power of this post, but I just can’t talk about it so openly on the internet where anyone can see because, if I’m being very honest, I am scared of revealing my identity too much because Jack Miller holds power over people and is a master at manipulation.
but let’s not let Jack take the spotlight here! a few months ago two of the original Bauhaus roommates moved out and so two people took their place. one of those people being Ronnie Allen Evans (his full name as displayed on Facebook). Ronnie, along with being a very big rape apologist, is also guilty of the same crimes as Jack. he maybe hasn’t assaulted as many women, but it is a thing that has happened. according to his (and Jack’s) logic, it doesn’t constitute as rape because the other person was drunk so it excuses all other behavior. it makes it okay to take advantage of them. and to be quite honest, I’m more frightened by him than I am of Jack. Jack already has a reputation, whereas Ronnie is brand new to the scene so know one knows him or what he does.
I’m not making this post to ruin lives, so don’t think for one second this is aboutyou, Jack and Ronnie. this is about the victims, and this is about keeping other people from falling into that trap as well.
reblogging to show eric later cause i know he has attempted to book shows here before, holy shit.
JUST GONNA REBLOG AGAIN SO EVERYONE SEES IT
solidarity with rape victims, let’s take our scene back from rapists and rape apologists, let’s build our community stronger than ever and show support for our friends who need it instead of leaving them in the cold!
