Um, so did you all know that this is where I work and I will be slinging drinks for all you sexy people?
I did not know!
Can you tell us if the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, if the bathrooms are likewise accessible, and if there are non-sex-specific restroom arrangements available? I was going to call and ask so that I could include it in the post, but forgot.
1. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible through our patio and wheelchairs can roll right up to a table (but probably not the bar, it’s pretty high…) I think there MAY be a slight bump going through the door, and there are not automatic doors so someone may need to hold the door open. I frequently wait on customers with wheelchairs and if there is anything i can do to make you more comfortable let me know.
2. The bathrooms have handicapped stalls, but are unfortunately labelled “Men” and “women.” i believe you should use whichever one you identify as/feel comfortable using. Each bathroom has private stalls (the “women’s” has 2, the “men’s” has 1 stall and 1 urinal that is not private) with locks. (There will be 2 bartenders working, and I will be serving. The bartenders pretty much stay behind the bar, so i’m the one that walks around the restaurant and I can guarantee that no staff member will give anyone a hard time for using what they perceive as the “WRONG” bathroom.)
Bogart’s is definitely not the most progressive bar in Richmond, but it is pretty laid back (and i’m there, which i would consider a plus…) Please, if anyone has any questions or if I can do anything to accommodate/help/make you happy let me know!
P.S. Please start your tabs through me and not the bar, they make way more money than I do and I really need money so I can try to take the GRE, get into grad school, and be a GSEX-er again.
